Annual Conference
Join us for three days of workshops, networking, and professional development for CIT stakeholders from across Virginia.
October 16-18, 2026 | The Hotel Roanoke, Roanoke, VA
CIT training in Virginia is designed specifically for first responders, public safety personnel, and mental health co-responders employed by Community Service Boards who regularly respond to mental health crises. The scenario-based curriculum reflects the real-world decision-making environments of these roles. Due to limited capacity, local CIT classes prioritize public safety and crisis response partners.
Individuals seeking QMHP certification are encouraged to consult directly with the Department of Health Professions or approved behavioral health training providers to identify coursework that aligns with QMHP certification standards.
We appreciate your interest in CIT training.
The Thomas Jefferson Area CIT is hosting a 8-hr CIT Refresher Training at the Albemarle Co. PD.
Please download the attached Registration Form (Word document), fill it out, and return to Kelly Royston, CIT Coordinator by November 26, 2025.
